I was wondering this because I want to see what my rating would be if I played blinfolded. I would appreciate if chess.com told me if this is alright. I tried already but you can't have two accounts on the same email adress

Could always do a blindfold account on a different site like ICC so that you can keep them seperate.

Yes, I've also thought that chess.com should have a separate "blindfold rating" available. A possible idea might be to play unrated and just see who you can beat - this is what I've done.

What about having it set up so that you can have two sets of rating. Non blindfolded and blindfolded. could chess.com make this type of option available?

A blindfold feature would be great -- with the board actually blanked out and a separate rating pool.  Surely this would be quite easy to do.

yeah! could you have it so that it would tell you your opponents move, and then maybe you would type your move in? It could be easy to cheat but why would you?

Well, the point is, the blindfold feature is already a feature in Live Chess. Blanked out board and all! However, if you play a 10 minute game of blindfold, it affects your Live blitz rating, which is absurd!

I typically just play unrated games when playing blindfolded, it's hard sometimes because many people don't want to play people 300-400 rating points higher than themselves, and losing to someone who can't see the pieces is quite a kick in the ego

Problem with a blindfold rating system is the number of players. Past some fashion effects, I doubt many (starting by me) will consistently play blindfold.

and if you are ready with the new blindfold rating system, please create a rating for people who just consumed a beer, wine or champaign. Would be a good thing to have an own rating category for erdinger wheat beer (it's fantastic but for some strange reason everybody beats me if I just had one)
