Im sure Im not the only person who has watched as chess.com uploads a bad move. Yes I understand the concept of touch move in real chess and yes I probably should of thought it through first. Im not sure what it is but for some reason I frequently make moves in computer chess that I would never make in live chess.
Long story short, chess.com has provided this cancel button directly below the submit move button. The problem is that it doesnt work, you can click it at almost anypoint but it just doesnt work. I have now taken to trying to break my ADSL connection but generally with no success.
Clearly the number of chess games I play have a direct correlation to my day to day life. The amount of work pressure multiplied by time available is equal to my blunder factor. Compound this without a working cancel button and you have my ranking which is much like a heartbeat, 1550 through to 1750.
Once you accept a move, you cannot cancel it. "Cancel" will move the pieces back only if you have not accepted the move.
Just pray for your internet to get stuck :P
What's the point of the cancel button? You can just click anywhere on the board and the move will be cancelled anyway.
I too have blundered and realized it the second I hit the accept, but such is chess.
