In the live ratings, Carlsen is now number 2 closing in fast on Topalov.

How long before he is number 1 ?

Is it worth all the hassle arranging the match between Topalov and Anand?

They can't get the finance in place, but I bet they could if Carlsen was involved.  What do you think ?

It'd be unfair, let him qualify first.

And if they can't get a bid now from India, a huge country with a lot of new wealth, where the current World Champion is famous... then I doubt they'd find it with Carlsen in.

I think they're just asking an unrealistic amount (minimum $1.2 million prize fund for a 12 game match).

That wasn't for playing chess, that was for giving the boycotted Serb leadership a chance to look glamourous.
