I am a relative newcomer here, and as such have no personal data regarding this personage. This, I do believe: this is a commercial site, notwithstanding its relative success or failure to this point in time. Thus, the management have the right to refuse service on grounds of behavior (with compensation, if necessary), particularly when such rules are posted and known. If they make a bad choice in such enforcement, they suffer the consequences. If they make a good choice, they reap the rewards. In most cases, I'm guessing the result will be somewhere in between the extremes.

Successfully running a business like this - based as it is on allowing free access to many in hopes that they will find the entertainment worth paying for in the future - is NOT easy. Most such efforts will fail. I hope this one does not (and no, I have NO stake in its success save the $29 dollars I have invested to get my star and access to a few extra perks as a result).

Frankly, I believe management - in the person of its admins and helpers - bends over backwards to endure the slings and arrows of the relatively few number of complete idiots and trolls that find their way here, lured by the opportunity to grow up in front of us, or fail to. I, personally, would probably kick more out more frequently. But, then, I have less patience.

Free spirits should be allowed to wander around in chess.com, but only if they don't abuse the privilege, and the rest of us.

Ah well, it was his choice.

Pity that all his content was deleted, through. It was entertaining enough sometimes to provide some lulz.

I'm glad he's gone. He was like a suicide bomber. He had nothing of value. This will be a better website without him.
