I'm sorry, but that is not checkmate.

How about Qd2 as the first move? the only options for black are Kc4, followed by Qa2, or Rd2, followed by Ne3

LoveYouSoMuch

close but there's Nd4 there

Teraus

Completely forgot that. Geez...

So, starting with Qc2. If he does Nd4, finish with c4.

Oh, that's already in the solution you linked...

1. Q-d2    N-d4  2. N-e3#

1. Q-d2    K-c4   2. Q-a1#

1. Q-d2    c4      2. N-e3#     Not sure, but all look good.

Nd4 removes the pin so Ne3 Rxe3

After Qc2, can't black just push the pawn to c4, protecting the rook?

Qh1+ leaves him only two options, both of which are mate in one.  He can either block with the rook:

Qh1+, Rf6, Ne6#

or he can move the king to c4

Qh1+, Kc4, Bf7#

This sound right to you guys?

I believe 1. Qc2 is the soltuion!

After Kc4, Bf7+ is not mate. Black can still block with d5.
