Many interesting chess items on etsy.com. Here's a chess themed sweater-vest. Love it.

I love chess, but if you wear something like this in public people might think unkindly of you.  But if you can wear that and not care what other people think, then salute and enjoy it.

I've gone to a couple of OTB tournaments and a couple of times I will catch a guy wearing something that makes him look like the biggest dork on earth, but at a chess tournament its all good.  :D

You can order with a target knitted into the back of the vest.

I thought specifically naming sites other than chess.com wasn't allowed.

Advertising isn't allowed but members are usually allowed to discuss other sites. From my experience they don't want people making accounts to spam for a site but don't shut down threads for general interest discussions about other sites. Certainly sweater vests are not sold on chess.com, so it does not harm them at all.

I have no VESTED interest in etsy.com, I just wanted to post this THREAD to share that awesome sweater with members of the forum.

I don't mean to knit pick, or needle you about it, but if you don't capitalize or otherwise emphasize them they appear to have been weaved into your yarn a little more seamlessly.

it'd be cool if that was done in metal chainmail--with a smaller chest picture of a chess knight instead of a king on the front.  maybe show up at a chess tournamant in that :)...  i don't think that crochet is coming back as a style (if it was ever in vogue to begin with)

The first time that some bully grabs ahold of you, the King will become stretched and misshapen.

    Maybe that would be better.

Just carry some pepper spray...if anyone gives you trouble, you spray them in the eyes.

Or you can study martial arts.

Or you can carry a knife or a hand-gun. Maybe a tazer.

there is an unwritten rule that it is generally unwise to show up wearing clothing where you have to explain to everyone you meet: "my 'meemaw' made this for me and look, she made me sock booties to match"...
