Tal - Scorpio.

 Alekhine - Scorpio.

Capablanca - Scorpio

Kasparov - Aries.

Karpov - Gemini.

Morphy - Gemini.

Fischer - Pisces.

Topalov - Pisces.

Carlsen - Sagiitarius.

Steinitz - Taurus.

Notice that scorpio players are the ones with dark aura around them.

After all, Tal has the penetrating hypnotic scorpio stare.

Do you people think that astrology has influence over the style of play?

I do, every sign has it's own qualitie and chess players are influenced by these qualities.

The only effect asrology has on anything, is the on bank accounts of astrologers, bulging from the profits of decieving gullible people.

Haha, i have studied astrology for 3 years and i can assure you astrology is true, it's logical after all.

you can see the edgy play by scorpio players, the wise careful one by saggitarius, and pure positional dominant play by aries.

I don't feel all that assured. Do you have a big scientific paper you wrote on this?

Yeah, damn those illogical scientists who fail to prove it, hey?

What's here to prove?

The monement of the planets generate some kind of energy that affect us, juts like the moon affect the sea with the tide and stuff, end of story.

Then there should be some system to account for the Doctors and other staff who were nearer to the baby when they were being born. After all, they exerted "tidal force" on him just like planets.

The moon and tides is science, "some kind of energy" just doesn't do it for me, sorry.

[EDIT] I'm clearly wrong, just heard on the news all Aquarians got run over by an ice-cream truck.

energy is science, just like pain is.

the moment you are born, defines your charachter, qualities, positive and negative aspects..there is something called birth chart which show you the position of all planets the moment you were born and they are all together form your personality..

do some astrology reading and you will get the point.

Well I'm convinced.

Fair warning to rooperi: If you are still a heretic at sundown I will throw Venus at you.

And here i thought how ur raised and how u react to what life puts in front of u defined ur character, not stars in the sky that don't actually have intelligence..

Ofcourse the way you are raised is a major effect on your charachter but the seeds of your personality are born with you.

shape of your face, bone structure, talent in music or chess, wisdom..all these things can't be acquired by the you are raised, but they came with you..ofcourse you can improve yourself in chess and music, everyone can, but some people start from higher point and some from lower.

Your body as in bone structure and so on, is a result from ur parents, a genetic trait passed down through the generations. The other stuff might have a case for. But still an inanimate object with no character of it's own defining these special traits?

IMO astrology is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind it if a lot a people wouldn't use it to pass judgments on others because of their "bad signs". The OP with its "dark aura" stuff is quite typical...

Believing in Astrology is akin to believing in magic and voodoo imo.

I wonder how many of posters in this thread, who are scoffing at Kinan, are religious?

Wait, so are we saying that gravity is affecting our personalities, or some mystical chi force?

I think the only way stars will affect our lives is if they supernova.
