There are a lot of people in your rating range. Go to the top bar and select under play, the first item on the top, select then online chess. When you get to that page go to the right of the page in the top box labelled Play chess, click on the fourth item down on the left hand side of the box "view player".

When on the page you will see right below the bell curve a bar titled "Find player".

In the max rating box, only in this box, type 900, I am assuming that you want to play with people that are 200 points in rating and higher than your rating, do not type anything in any other box. And click on the search box to the right.

It will bring you here:

http://www.chess.com/echess/players.html?name=&country=&min_rating=&max_rating=900

From here on you can challenge 1,000's of people in your category.

Once you have looked at that page and want to challenge people with a higher rating, just go to the bottomm of the page and you will see on the right side   the word previous in grey, it means you cannot go back, if you wanted to challenge  players starting at say 800 rating, then in the max. box explained above you type 800 not 900 and you will get a listing of people with 800 rating and above.

From there just browse the pages from page 2 to 104 as you wish.

Best of luck.

If not clear, just ask more questions.

Why not just make an open seek, at least for online chess, and specify the range you're willing to play.
