    +   Check

++  Sometimes used for "double check"

    #    Checkmate (some older notations may use ++)

    x    Captures the piece on...

    !!   Very good move

    !   Good move

    ?    Bad move

    ??    Blunder

    ?!   Questionable move

    !?    Interesting move

=     Used for promotion (as in "e8=Q"; this would be "pawn moves to e8 and becomes a queen")

You forgot %&@#$ for when you end up in a royal fork, king and queen attacked simultaneously with no chance of saving your queen.

Seriously, good list on the symbols that are used in chess notation.

Who thinks there should be a symbol for stalemate, like maybe a percent sign(%)?

Maybe also for the threefold repitition like a times three sign but with a capitol    x(X3).

The other notation that you might find is e.p.which is an en passant capture  The notation would read like this exf6 e.p.

There is also castling which is O-O for king side and  O-O-O for queen side. the number of "O" 's happen to coincide with how many squares the rook moves.
