Hi all,
I am around a 13-1500 rated player, and I am looking for recommended books for improving my play. I have read Chernev's Logical Chess Move by Move, which I found very useful. I have also read Patrick Woolf's An Idiots Guide to Chess, which I again fouhnd invaluable as a beginner, but I would like to study my next book which will maybe push me on towards 1600 and beyond.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

maybe you're ready to look for a book that's specific to an opening you like to play.
Excellent, thanks for the replies guys. i love playing the Colle system, so I have just checked it out online and there seem to be a few books available by David I Rudel which look very useful indeed, so I will have to buy 1 of them. I would like to take you up on a game Silent. I cannot challenge you as you dont accept challenges from under 1400's and I am 1388, so if you could challenge me that would be great.
Thanks,
Jamie.
