Concept of Centralization

If your pieces are centralize, you can dispatch them easily to the left and right side of the board. If your pieces are not centralize, you can only position them to where you are and in the middle,so small coverage of pieces. In the shuffle of pieces,if you cannot activate a piece as if you are a piece down and will be at a disadvantage and would likely lose.ChessTrainor.

Look for the winning move, then Neutralize it!(Capablanca)

In the endgame strategy, analyze the winning move of your opponent,if he is able to move it he would surely win, foil that,so he cannot win .Therefore his chance is lose and draw while yours is Draw and Win!CT.
