  Very rarely does a new player listen to you.  You can tell them over and over how to improve, or to castle the king, and although they have asked for help, they ignore your advice.  They prefer to learn on their own, making their own moves (and mistakes).  It is very frustrating, even for chess coaches.

Just kidding. No joke, new players DO NOT LISTEN. This one guy kept moving his king to check, and another attempted to capture my king because he didnt say Check.
