It seems that chess can sometimes bring out the worst in people.  See the following news item ("Chess game erupts in gunfire") for an example!

I dont think chess is responsible for the problems in those links, in one its clearly alcohol (drunks and guns are a deadly mix) and in the other its politics, which ruins everything it gets involved in. Politics and alcohol bring out the worst in people..not the chess. Smile

Hey chess can be dangerous. It almost started a feud between a fellow player and I only this afternoon. I'm pretty sure he's still pissed off.
