    Hi!

I am making a presentation about chess next monday (to an audiance that does not know much about chess). Among other things I plan to talk about history of chess, famous chess players and Deep Blue Sea.

Do you know any interesting things you would  tell about chess? Some interesting incidents or connections. Say whatever comes to mind. If you know interesting / funny pictures related to chess, please post them too :)

And do you think I could go through a famous game with them or would it be too much to understand (with plenty explanations)?

    Thank you very much!

I would suggest that you read, if you have not already, "The Immortal Game" by David Shenk.  The book gives a nice history of chess, as well as an excellent move by move play through of the immortal game Anderssen vs. Kieseritzky, though a complete play through with explanations to a crowd that is not chess educated might be to long and to boring for them.  Maybe a few unique chess problems, that have forced moves, would be better.
