This past Saturday ( Aug 15th )  I gave a 28 board simul in Figueira da Foz , Portugal. I had not given an exhibition in 25 to 30 years and had forgotten what it is like. I really enjoyed it but it will probably be my last such exhibition. After 3 hours on my feet, on concrete, I am still "recovering" ! I have played a few famous GMs in exhibitions and over the years have given a few myself to try and promote/support chess. I think anyone who has the opportunity to support chess in this way should give it a try.

Congrats Reb! Except for the physical toll I bet it was happily memorable (and impressive).

I won all games, 28-0.  I did have some luck though as I was completely lost on one board , so threw everything at the opponents king and he had a defense, but didnt find it and lost. I should also point out that I was told that I would be playing a bunch of kids. The majority of the participants were kids but there were also some adults playing as well. I went into it determined not to lose a game but never suspected I might win all the games.
