1. if you decided your opening repertoire, grab all material you can find about the opening and play through games with the opening, write down which moves you intend to play for your oppenents different moves (look what leads to middle game positions you'd like to play). then get the "Chess Position Trainer" and input the data you collected and decided before. last step study your opening with chess positon trainer.

2. get the tool "Guess the move" and use master games and your own games. you can also play through annotated master games, cover the moves they play and guess the move. Then try to find out, why they played the move and check with the annotation.

3. that's a tough one. best way is to analyze with a coach and he asks you questions (why did you play a move, what would habe been better in this situation etc.) Without a coach: play through your game until you reach a point where the position went bad. try to find out why, play through alternative lines. look what goes better/worse this way etc.

are these softwares free?

yes, you can find "guess the move" here on chess.com in the download section. For "chess position trainer" there is a free version which has all the features you'll need.
