I vote Nbd2. I don't think e5 is a great move tbh, it stretches the pawn chain too far and could later be more easily undermined.

e5 is a bad practical choice vs a computer IMO.  It more or less necessitates kingside action, and 1) we can't out-calculate it, 2) aren't good enough to find deep positional attacking moves.

exd5 is the more practical move, again IMO.  This usually becomes an IQP position which I believe would be easier to navigate.

The bishop doesn't belong on b5 here.  If it goes anywhere play it to d3 (or maybe e2) but not b5.

Nbd2 is ok, but I feel like it's not the best timing i.e. it develops a queenside piece and blocks the bishop... not that it's bad but it doesn't "feel" right to me Tongue out

Is there a reason why the bishop doesn't belong on b5?

yeah no, Nd2 leads to a tarrach wich will come anyway, this has the added benifit of preventing the capture without wasting tempo, and allowing us to gain a tempo if Houdini plays Nf6

    Nd2

    Nbd2 or Nfd2?

Question: if we have a 5-5 tie what do we do?

if we have a 5-5 tie I will be the tiebreaker vote. Although I'm not quite sure what to play myself, I like Nbd2

I think we need more discussing than just voting. In the vote chess games I play the decisions are usually unanimous because we all dicuss it and analyze and then decide on a move
