You're a little impatient Calum - lots of people post games (and you do quite a lot). Dare I say it, it's something that could get on people's nerves and might make them less likely to comment on your games. Also, annotations will help people comment on flaws in your thinking.

On the game:

* Your black bishop seemed to be in the wrong place from the start and you wasted a lot of moves shifting it around

* 4. Nf6 was a massive blunder - e5 (if white had seen it) would have forked bishop and knight

* 7. Bb4 seems to be a waste of time - c3 strengthens white's position and you could've predicted that's all your move would achieve

* 9. Nxd5 is a mistake - if 10. Qb3 you lose either the knight or the bishop

* 10. Bd6 was a massive blunder (as I'm sure you know) - leaves the knight unprotected, which white gratefully accepts. Though he lets you back into the game with 14. Bxf4 which is another big error.

* 18. Rxf7 means it's game over

How could you improve? Study some common openings (King's Gambit would be one of these) and some theory about opening basics (e.g. develop your pieces, don't block your own development), and try not to leave pieces hanging. Think about how your opponent will respond to your moves and what their plan is, and what your and your opponents strengths and weaknesses are, and how to either remove your weaknesses, build on your strengths or exploit your opponents weaknesses.

What was your plan in the game? It would be a lot easier to help if you annotated your games with what you were thinking when you were making your key moves - then people could advise you how you could improve
