Wait... there is online chess 3D board too???
I'm using Google Chrome version 30.0.1599.101 m on a Windows XP computer.
I've noticed it just on live chess so far, but I think the other places have this too.
Yep, we have a 3D board on online chess as well. You can change it in your online chess settings :) Do you get lag similar to normal server lag? Or are the pieces difficult to move, the graphics aren't loading smooth, etc?

All of the above. This also happens when I watch Top Game. By the time the screen loads move 5, the position have already reached move 6 (I could tell by the sounds).

I cant get it to work in live chess. I change the setting and it tells me the settings will take effect next time I log in. Sure enough when I log back in its still the same regular board. What is the problem? I have a mac and im using safari.

No, you don't. Try it for youself!
I just tried it to observe live chess for a bit and it runs acceptably on our Win7(all updates)/i3@2.4GHz/ATI 5400 series with 1gig latest drivers/FireFox 24.0 and it is nice looking.
The 2d does run noticably faster though.
It is in board settings right? In online chess settings, under "board settings" I select "Real 3D (Beta)" and it shows this:

About the 3D Board Beta, the computer slows down tons whenever I enable the setting, and there is incredible lag.
Is it possible to make it so it doesn't make computers lag?
How much RAM/processing speed does the computer need to run it?
