I am sitting here killing time before my band goes on at midnight. After spending a long day working out some new guitar parts, I have some time to post. I finished a game with Kilgorebass today, a game that I really enjoyed. Now, I didn't win the game, but was mated around move 32 or 33. What I enjoyed was the game itself, since I take home something in the way of a lesson from every game, and the conversation. It was nice not to be involved in competition. My profesisonal life is very competitive and people don't play nice with one another in that realm. You're only as good as your last show. Have a bad night and no one forgets. It was nice to play a competitive game without the competitive nature being dragged into the game, making it a spitting match between angry cobras versus an intelligent game played for the love of the game. So thank you kilgorebass for a great game. You are a great sportsman. We could all learn a lesson from this pleasant game (I won't mention any names of those who need a few extra lessons in the art of being humble).
