I am thinking about playing correspondence chess in scotland, and was wondering whether anyone knew a good organisation or other that would provide this, other than chess.com?

Thank you very much

One option would be the British Federation for Correspondence Chess http://www.bfcc-online.org.uk/

There is also a Scottish Correspondence Chess Association http://www.scottishcca.co.uk/

Many clubs also have a correspondence section so you might try your local club.

Another option if you want "proper" correspondence chess is the International Email Chess Group (IECG)                                                      http://www.iecg.org/

The IECG also has a chess server that works in similar fashion to chess.com turn-based chess. You can find the Lechenicher SchachServer at http://lss.chess-server.net
