e4.e5 2.d4..exd4 3.c3....dxc3 (Qe7 may ma be slightly better for black 4.Bc4..cxb2 5. Bxb2.. d5 (Bb4+ fights for an advantage) 6.Bxd5..Nf6 7.Nc3...Nxd5 8.Nxd5..Nd7 (c6 Nf6+-) is a wild position
Unclearish IMO

Another thing too is Danish is easily refuted. There isn't much to this skirmish after trade of queens in mainline. Its a very dead and unexciting game with no real play for either side.
and that's just one line. I'm not saying the opening isn't great for low level chess. Just that when I asked my coach this sane question he told me the pluses black has after 1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3. c3 d3! Here c3 impedes whites development of knight, and while black sacrifices a pawn, whites position is somewhat disorganized.
I guess what I'm trying to say is everything is just to clear. The position is very open and because of this there is nothing really to do but trade pieces.
why danish gambit not played by top player... is it unsound or unclear?
