Intimidation factor is a strong element in chess games and (I would assume) in tournaments. How do some of you set your minds to overcome this factor?

research the terms "house edge" or "casino intimidation" in relationship
to large casinos. if you can try to visit one.
you will never be bothered by anything in a chess tournament again.
large casinos are set up to give the house and edge. everything from
the colors of carpet and walls, to seating positions, lighting, noise
levels, etc., are manipulated. with a little education you will walk
into a tourny, access your seat and the area around you, and only worry
about your game.
