Having played numerous people who liked to use almost all of their 3 days to make a move, I have only one thing to say: NO. (But no you didn't know or no that's not true, you ask? I'll let you decide...)
Did you know that there are 96 hours in a three day period?

Once again:
Game set for "3 days".
It says:
"3 days" that lasts for: 24 hours
"2 days" that lasts for: 24 hours
"48 hours" that gives 48 hours
24 + 24 + 48 = 96 hours = 4 days

I wonder if Einstein would have a different answer still . . . ?
Relative to what?
I've been playing correspondence chess here for a long time, and often have a hundred games going.
Yet I wonder how many people didn't realize that "3 days" means "96 hours"?
Here's day one, which lasts for 24 hours:
It'll say "3 days" left for you or your opponant to move.
Day two lasts another 24 hours: It says "2 days".
At the end of 48 hours, it'll change from "2 days" to "47 hours".
So it looks like we're getting 96 hours, not 72, on games that last "3 days".
It took me a long time to fully notice that.
