Ive noticed, for last two days, that the page takes a long time to load, or once its loaded the pieces are invisible for a long time.  Yeasterday I had to close down the tab because I got a massage "Do not run this script" twice.  And already twice, without clicking on the ads(the one on top of the page) I got rerooted to other web sites

what gives?

I have the same problem. I try to enter one of my games, the board loads but the pieces do not! I am also having problems loading the "Open seeks" page. My browser keeps telling that it is waiting for media.fastclick.net and that it is transferring data from optimized-by.rubiconproject.com ....It is driving me nuts! I need my chess!!! hehe.. also all I have written here only just appeared, I had been writing it "in the dark"..

I'm just pointing out that, if you get a premium membership, the page loading time will improve ALOT because there are no ads.

Or you could just use adblock plus on Firefox. That's what I did as a free member.

I get similar issues sometimes, and I believe it's caused by heavy load on the servers hosting chess.com. once I either refresh teh window or close the tab/browser and wait for few seconds, it works fine.

as a developer, I think Chess.com development team has done great job in doing thier page development in javascript that communicates asynchrnously with thier server (Javascript is a language that browsers understand), but it gets very complicated when you do track down a whole board of chess peices with allowed / not allowed moves, it's really astonishing job.

Firefox with the ad blocker plus plug-in(google it) seems to be the best way to counter this since those 2 problems are coming from ads and not chess.com. I suggest getting it until it's fixed.

friday and saturday were the worst, I kept on getting explorer telling me to "cancel/erase the script", I kept on clicking "Yes" to get rid of it, and just gave up playing al together, now it seems it is gone for good, but I dont get any adds on top of the page either

I wonder what will happen once I start getting into more games?

got to try and see
