    Dream Tournament:

    1) Each player at their peak

    2) 6 months to prepare on current theory

Who do you think would win? and who did I not include who I should have? You must remove someone and keep it at 10. This is my oredr of winners.

    1. Gary Kasparov

    2. Jose Raul Capablanca

    3. Bobby Fisher

    4. Alexander Alekhine

    5. Emanuel Lasker

    6. Paul Morphy

    7. Anatoly Karpov

    8. Mikhail Botvinnick

    9. Tal

    10. V Anand

Fischer would win I think, and Alekhine would come next, even though it is always difficult to say without having studied a lot of games for each of them (I studied mostly Alekhine's games, then Fischer's and then Capablanca's, I came to the conclusion that Alekhine's play is more solid with less mistakes, "less" genius-like but then he is so so strong that someone with my level must humbly say that he is far from knowing for sure).

Tchigorine (don't remember how it is spelled) is also great by the way. I would put him third and take away Lasker.

Hmmm...  Playing at thier Peak and given sufficient time to prepare for Current Theory, I would guess:
    1. Paul Morphy
    2. Robert Fischer
    3. Garry Kasparov
    4. Jose Capablanca
    5. Emanuel Lasker
    6. Wilhelm Steinitz
    7. Mikhail Tal
    8. Alexander Alekhine
    9. Tigran Petrosian
    10. Mikhail Botvinnik

Like Morphy do you? He played so little and against limited competition but had huge natural talent. He is difficult to predict. That is what makes this so fun. I think top to bottom a difference of 3 points at most.

I thought about putting Steinitz in there. Tal at his peak was a monster. Botvinnik was great for years like Kasparov so he could be higher. I think Capa may have the greatest chess mind of all time though. Alekhine avoided him after winning the championship. I threw Tal in the tournament for his flare and Petrosian for his solid play and defense just to mix it up. Tal has a plus score against Fisher I think.Lasker was champion for 26 years or something like that, how good is that?

I know I would love to see the games.
