 GM TORRE OPENS the DUMADAG CHESSFEST SET MARCH 29 AT AGUINALDO COLLEGE-MANILA

Registration is going on to unfold the 6^th LARRY DUMADAG RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT (2050 Below NCFP Rapid Rating) on March 29 Sunday 9:00am at the 7^th Flr., Sports and Cultural Center Manila, Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) 1221 Gen. Luna St., Ermita, Manila (Near U.N. Avenue/Taft Avenue LRT station). The event is organized by Engr. Larry Dumadag in cooperation with the management of Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) and the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters, Inc.(NAPCA). Grandmaster Eugene Torre is invited to grace the opening of the activity with the school officials of EAC.

 Prizes are Champion P 4,000  and Trophy, 2^nd P 2,000, 3^rd P 1,000, 4^th 500 and 5^th P 300. Top category winners of Kiddy, Lady and 1900 below will also receive a total of  P 300 each. Tournament format shall apply the Seven(7) Round Swiss System and the rate of play is Twenty Five(25) minutes per player to finish the game. 

The RRCIS - P10 / P5 (Round By Round Cash Incentive Scheme - P10 for 1 pt. / P5 for ½ pt.)  NOBODY LOSE, EVERYBODY WINS!!!

7TH NAPCA TRAINER AND COACHES SEMINAR

SET 28-29 MARCH IN MANILA

Registration is going for the 7^th NAPCA TRAINER AND COACHES SEMINAR on March 28 & 29, 2009 at the seminar room 7^th Flr., Sports and Cultural Center Manila, Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) 1221 Gen. Luna St., Ermita, Manila (Near U.N. Avenue/Taft Avenue LRT station). The seminar is organized by the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters (NAPCA) in cooperation with Emilio Aguinaldo College.

The program aims to understand the proper way of teaching chess to their students.  Invitation  opens to the representatives of Sports Department of Cities and Municipalities, Chess Clubs, Schools and any Organization.

Seminar facilitator is FIDE ARBITER & FIDE INSTRUCTOR LAWYER ROMMEL  TACORDA.

Among the topics that will be learned are Chess History, Levels of Training, Terminologies, Principles of Opening Strategy, Checkmating patterns, Playing Strength Assessment, Tactics, and many others.
