Everyone knows Erik - the guy who works on CHESS.COM all the time; his life depends on the running of this website!
Well, I believe that Erik has committed several offenses that require severe action to take place - he should be permanently BANNED.
First of all, Erik continually sends us messages about chess.com this and chess.com that - I call this SPAM!!! Spamming is totally against the rules, Erik knows that! Almost every day, I get SPAM from this "chess.com", and apparently, Erik has something to do with it - because he runs CHESS.FRICKIN.COM/FRICKIN/SPAMMING/#$@!/!!!
Second of all, he continually continues to continually advertise Chess Mentor and Tactics Trainer (you can get the links from Eric - they're good!) in the forums, even the ones that have NOTHING to do with Chess Mentor and Tactics Trainer!!!!!!!!!!
Third - Erik has the nerve to shut down CHESS.COM - in the middle of a frickin move!!! - to try to "improve" this site for us for FREE. How absolutely rude!!! Here I'm sitting, minding my own damn business, on the Internet while waiting for a move to come - then, a move interrupts me, I have to go to chess.com and try to make a move - and suddenly CHESS.COM is off!!!
Erik, you disrupt my periods of privacy! How dreadful and terrible of you! How would you like me to come and stand over your head in your "private" time?
Oh, but it's not over yet! Erik also posts consistently on this website and doesn't give himself an equal oppurtunity to earn goddamn POINTS!!! Erik is discriminating against HIMSELF!!! How can we allow someone who discriminates to have any participation in this website? Horrible that, since chess.com was created, we already had a discriminating player online with us. Not only is he online with us - he runs the website! We're allowing a discriminatory person to run CHESS.COM!!!!!!!! We are therefore responsible for keeping a discriminatory site running!!!
Are those reasons not enough for you??? Erik should be BANNED permanently - CHESS.COM does not need felons such as Erik! He makes our experience at CHESS.COM horrible! Without him, we would not have the dreadful experiences we have at CHESS.COM!!!
Shame on you, Erik! Now, if you can tell me where the button is for reporting players for misconduct, I shall immediately report you (apparently to yourself!) and hopefully you will have the honor to BAN yourself from this website!!!
[EDITED SLIGHTLY BY ERIK, WHO SHOULD BE BANNED!!!)
1) I believe his name is spelled Erik.
2) No, he should not be banned.
3) I barely get those messages, and he does need to encourage membership to feed his little children, doesn't he?
4) Again, he does need money. Man, I need to ask my parents about membership sometime soon.
5) Would you rather it continue the way it was the first day it was made? Erik has improved the site so much that it has become great.
6) Erik has no reason to be interested in points. He has a lot higher priorities than worrying if he does not have 1000 or more points.
Adult references? I'm a 16-year old who wrote this - not legally an adult yet (by any standards, especially maturity =D)! Believe me, a lot of people younger than 16 understand these "adult references", unfortunately, but at this point, it is no more adult than smoking has become for youngsters... (I don't smoke - it;s horrible!!! It's just for the purpose of the joke!)

You appear to be confusing "adult references" in terms of a content description with the much broader concept of maturity. At 16, that may be natural. I assure you, the two concepts have nothing in common. It has nothing to do with how old you need to be to understand it. The fact that younger people do understand it is precisely what makes it somewhat objectionable, and patently adolescent in terms of the level of thought that would actually find it amusing. I won't bother to explain that, I'm sure you can sort it out if you try. At any rate, I liked the original joke, or at least the idea of it. :)
Sorry. I have no concept of sarcasm.
could he actually ban himself?
if he was banned than there would be no one to ban which mould mean he was never actually banned...
ITS A FREEKING PARADOX
Here's the TRICK:
When Erik BANS himself, he'll already have been BANNED, therefore once he has been BANNED, there is no more need for him to be BANNED, thereby since he's already BANNED, he can't be not BANNED, so he was already BANNED by himself, so someone did already BAN him, and it was himself who BANNED himself. Comprehend?
Excellent, now since everyone understands my point, let's BAN Erik and make him pay for all the trouble he's put into CHESS.COM!!!
UNITE, MY BRETHREN! WE SHALL TOGETHER BAN THE FELON THAT IS CHESS.COM'S ONE AND ONLY ERIK!!!!!
wow. I didn't know that chess.com was full of so many ignorant people. I don't even think you know about all the hard work that Eric goes through for this site, you, and me. I mean, think about not just how smoothly the turn-based chess games run, but also the interesting additions to the website such as live chess and vote chess! Yes, Eric may advertise a bit, but it's all called for in that running a website hosting thousands of users is not free. Maybe you should read a book or two about web hosting, because I really don't think you know what you're talking about. If you don't like Eric and you are a chess.com hater, check out some other sites, maybe Yahoo chess?
Yahoo chess is a bad version of Live Chess here! =D
shiggy-dude, that's exactly the reason we should BAN the living crap out of Erik! He does all of this work for us - too much - if he's BANNED, he won't have to do so much work and therefore won't make mistakes such as keeping this whole forum running! In addition, if he's BANNED, he won't make mistakes that include: improving the site, allowing people to play for FREE, and not putting ADVERTISEMENTS on every pixel of every page of CHESS.COM!
