What's your favorite chess piece? Mines the bishop so i can strike at a distance.

pawns, because they are the soul of the game......and although not technically a "piece", promotion can make it one.....

its very exciting to reach a hazy pawn endgame, as the lowly foot soldiers try to bust through to the 8th rank..

Bishops are my favorite, a Bishop pair dark square and a light square Bishop are powerful. More than a Knight pair according to a book I have and I think that too.

Queen.

Knight because it covers so much ground when properly placed.  Two bishops or two rooks work well together, but a lone knight can do a lot of damage in the earlier stages of the game e.g. forking.  Although I have no f'ing clue about chess, I just started playing.

i'm in a dilema: i like all the peices when placed on my side, but i hate them if they defect to my opponents side... :P

anyway. pawns rule!!! if there weren't bishops then chess would be boring but acceptable, without pawns the game of chess is nothing.

Every single piece in chess is beautifull.Not olny their movements but their backround too.Pawns are soldiers in front line ready to give their lifes for a win.Without them there is no battle.Knights are the special forces of the army with their unique movement and attack.Bishops are like real bishops in histrory..Beside queen and king of course and never attacking straight!only sideways..Rooks are the walls..the last defend and last hope of a battle..Queen the only female in the story of course the most powerful!The hot chick is killing opposite army with her sexappeal!And at the end the fat,old and slow king..Everything to protect him..Everything for the money...

So there is no fav piece but onlu the game

Kings! The King is the only piece you cannot lose in the game, and it's the piece that I must take back home.
