What chess sites do you folks like to visit besides chess.com? Here are some that I like
http://www.chessgames.com Probably the best site on the Internet for looking over games
http://www.chessvibes.com A chess news site with intresting articles
http://www.goddesschess.com Intesting site about the many different aspects of chess
http://www.xs4all.nl/~timkr/chess/chess.html Tim Krabbe's Chess Curiosities
http://www.infinitychess.com Freestyle chess
http://www.chessbase.com Chess news
I particularly like the Chess Variant Pages - they provide descriptions of how to play literally hundreds of varieties of chess-related games, ancient and modern, which has long been a particular interest of mine.

An associated site is Game Courier, a non-commercial site where many variants can actually be played for free:

I also enjoy Ed Friedlander's Java applets site, where you can play many variants against a computer. The applets are generally weak opponents, but still fun to play:

other than here:
Chesscafe.com & chessbase.com
