We officially announce that our team "The Power of Chess" is number 1 among all teams in the "Vote Chess". WELL DONE and keep PLACE 1 for supremacy!
"THE POWER OF CHESS"; team statistics:
Average top 10: 2624
Average top 50: 2484 Join us for the best team. Good luck!
So modest?
Congratulations on your first place! The Cheers! Vote Chess Café is happy to beat you for supremacy!http://www.chess.com/votechess/game.html?id=13402537
Once you lose the queen, we expect nothing less of course that such a strong team gracefully resigns.
So, the French Defense Fanatics beat you guys too. Just because you have played more games than everybody else does not mean that you guys are the best vote chess team. The FDF has won all of their vote chess games. We just have not played very many. Also, looking back on the TPOC vote chess archives, I have noticed that the higher rated players just tell the lower ones what moves to play without the explaining of certain concepts.
Average top 50: 2484
Having many matches in progress, most valuable players can not attend to all parties, but if most players would participate in a game against any team, we are sure that we win clear.
Thanks for the stats Stefan, when you go for a rematch against Cheers! Vote Chess Café make sure to mobilise all your big guys and give us a proper game this time
The Fast Players Group are also excellent. I'm on both of those teams!
Well done to the Power of Chess for being the number one most active group.
If only in real life was I awarded 5 points for beating someone of any standard, and lost no points for losing, I too would play as many games as I could and may even be the highest rated player in the world!
I think the vote team rating system needs to be based on the quality of opponent you beat and not just the quantity, similar to every other chess rating system in fact .
Yes, even a ladder format would be better than this shotgun rating.
Also from the Cheers! team!
If y'all are so good, how come you're losin' to us so bad??
ill join
I agree. Teams should start with ratings and have ratings based on other teams they win or lose to.
So, are you holding on to the Cheers! game because you think we will lose on time? Because we have 12 votes, usually unanimous, for each move and we won't lose.
Very nice, indeed, to me Stefan this tells everything about you. The rating is all that matters.
I've also heard that the top player in the top team at chess.com will be automatically awarded a GM norm.
costelus, that's true. It's a good reason for players to consider becoming the top in their team... whatever the cost.
I think Cheers! got to play THE "Austin" POWER OF CHESS.
