Does anyone know of any good software for the Mac? I love the look of Fritz and Chessmaster but they are only available on PC I think. Also is there a good database, like chessbase, for Mac?

Any help would be appreciated Laughing

Chessbase and Fritz are not available for a Mac--I run VMWare (though Parallels should work as well) and use a small part of the Mac as a Windows OS and run it there--it requires

1) Buying the program

2) Buying Windows

3) portioning your hard drive and memory

There is an older version of Chessmaster (9000 I think) for the Mac.  Other popular apps include Vektor, Sigma-HIARCS, and Shredder.

Database/toolkit options include ExaChess and (if you can get it working) SCID.

... I'll see if I can dig up some links.  EDIT:  Links inserted.
