I've noticed two things when it comes to hanging queens:
1. when it happens to me i go through PQHS or "post queen hanging stress" where you are just shocked and you cant really think and end up usually hanging more pieces or screwing up your position
and...
2. its might be me, but ive missed my opponant hanging his queen 3 times in the last couple weeks
does this happen to anyone else? any comments?
Yes I think so to me sometimes
maybe you are too much tired or feeling distraction. complete focus on on chess board. moving too much fast before looking to all choices?
Okay. Thought process of a Grandmaster
1:Pins?
2:Forks?
3:Skewers?
4:Where's his king?
5:Queen?
6:Rooks?
I do that EVERY MOVE!
well as for missing a hanging its part of the psychological part of the game, like most of the time this happens it against joshwxc because hes a lot better than me i think a lot of times that he would'nt make that mistake therefore: don't underestimate your opponent and never overestimate your opponent, as for you yonbeast that comment was a rude, even though your scores are a lot higher than mine you don't have to get all indignant because i am admitting a mistake i make and would like some feedback, as for Qwertykeyboard: looks like a nice checklist to run through ill try it out thanks and thanks to everyone else who gave *positive* feedback
mistakes are my specialty.
with or without a queen.
Only once in blitz. But it pained.
Qwertykeyboard: i also like that checklist
Skeith: dont worry about your stats i guarantee they go up you have been getting better every time i play you
