        Somebody said that there is a "subtle difference between doesn't and don't". I don't think that the fact that one is singular and the other plural is a particularly "subtle difference".

It's not singular versus plural, it's just a different conjugation of the same verb. I don't, you don't, and they don't, but he doesn't.
