I have, the plot line may be tired, but the rest is fresh and fantastic. It is however, very dry humour; If you enjoy peep show (Which is about as dry as it gets) you'll probably enjoy this.

Overall it was very good. Nice music, the chess games were pretty much giberish, non of the actors could play.

The thing is, my little brother is only 6, and I'm looking for movies that will get him interested in chess. And also, just generally good movies about chess for myself. So far, he has seen 'Searching for Bobby Fischer', which he liked. But, '300' might be a little too old for him.

How about '10' (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078721/) - that might be closer to his age?

Yes, I noticed all of the complex chess references in V for Vendetta.

Oh no, wait, that was dominoes. Nevermind. Wink
