Strange why they made it so you can't delete your own topics, I think it's done no good. I remember the good old days in chess.com where you could delete any of your own threads.
Bring back the old times!!!!
I tried to delete one earlier on, all that happened was my first writing went to [COMMENT DELETED], and everyone else's posts was still intact! I thought what's the point in having a comment deleted at the top the page ? So I just wrote my stuff there again and left it.

The reason why they did it was that some people pointed out that the OP doesn't "own" the threads they start, so it was unfair that they could when they liked just wipe out pages of conversation..
They may not be the owner, but they are the founder!
So?
like that
So?: meaning what difference does that make?
So If the founder hadn't founded the topic than that topic wouldn't have existed so technically the founder is the owner so the founder should be able to delete his/her topic at will
The founder doesn't "own" all the rest of the content in the thread actually..

So, nobody but yourself has the right to delete comments you made, which involves time, effort, in some cases research, except yourself. The postwriter owns only the original post, it's not like he has intelectual property over the contribution of others.
nuclearturkey don't get involved. shoo! away! bad dog! 446919 has kiddie mental issues. i think he's like 8 years old.
So? What difference does it not make?
It's up to you to prove your argument right, not me to prove it wrong. I don't see at all how being the founder automatically makes one the owner of all that follows their post..
Well, I'll wait to find that out myself..
