Help me find this epic checkmate!

Does anyone know of any real life examples (hopefully from OTB with players 2000+) where someone either

1. Castles for a #

2. En passant for a # (discovered check from en passant. Giving checkmate with the pawn via en passant is too much to hope for unless the game is pre-arranged)Cool

KeepinOn2

Here is a game where it is possible, though it was not actually played.  Some versions, however, give 18.0-0-0 as the final move.

There is a game between Paul Morphy and Alonzo Morphy from 1850 in New Orleans that is a Castled mate.  White played an at odds game without his Queen's side Rook!

Note:  Edited to reflect the corrections given by orangehonda in post #5Smile

Note it was an odds game with the queen's rook missing... for those who wondered how black's 17th was possible.

Oh dear, in my haste to post I did not give a full description or edit my diagram properly.  Embarassed  Thank you for the corrections orangehonda, I will edit my post accordingly.  Smile

In addition to the Morphys' game, there is another fairly ancient game ending in a castling mate: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1272123

Here's an OTB game with high-rated players: Lodewijk Prins (IM, 1950) vs Lawrence Day (IM, 1972, a couple years after he won this game).

Final position after 31...O-O-O:

2. En passant for a # (discovered check from en passant.

How about double-check en-passant checkmate (source: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1242924)

I once did consecutive double checks in a blitz game on ICC (with the last one being mate). I also once castled with check in a USCF game. That's about it for me...

Well if it was a double check underpromotion to a knight # then you get 11/10. Otherwise I have have to demote you to a regular ole 10/10

@most other posts:

It would seem there aren't many examples of a castling where the rook shoots down the entire d/f file to a king. I guess it's more plausible if you can chase the rook onto your own side....

So no one knows of any en passant #?

One more EP checkmate, found on Rybka Forum by googling, but the players are likely to be rather low-rated.

Oh I didn't realize that was from a real game! I thought he had just conjured up a position to look feasable. Well props for finding one Sealed (referring to post #8). And the one that's above mine definately wasn't their when I started writing my post lol

As for mate by en passant, see my game here: http://chicagochess.blogspot.com/2010/06/en-passant-mate.html As I mention, there was also such a game on FICS a few years ago, later published in Chess Life, which unfortunately I can't find on the Internet.
