It's probably a good idea to let people know how bugs should be reported.

It seems reasonable that people should be expected to reproduce the bug before reporting it in order to limit false reports, and then report it in a central location accessible to everyone in order to limit duplication of bugs.

Is this thread that place?

Yeah, I think it reached its maximum load.  It booted me and I couldn't get back in.

Thank you all very much for helping us to test how many members the new live chess can hold, your help and participation is appreciated.

If you do find any bugs when testing in there, can you please either mail support or mail me directly.

Thanks :)

I hope they have:

a) reverted to the Live Chess 1 captured pieces style box

b) allowed users to challenge players to Live Chess from anywhere on the site

I'm playing a game, it's sort of like an easter-egg hunt... I call it 'Find chessoholicalien's posts where he hopes they have done two things to live chess involving captured pieces and live chess challenges'. So far, I've scored 3 points! Smile

I really enjoyed my first game played with v.2. I have a mini-laptop, and this interface is much more user friendly for me.

Thanks Erik and StaffSmile

Fella, you're not getting out enough :-)

But yeah, just trying to make my concerns heard. I've seen at least one other person comment on the captured pieces issue.

My game just now vs. cowsreallymoo.

Cows has 0:00 on his clock - I watched it run out!

However, the game was recorded as a loss for me in my games archive, incorrectly claiming I had abandoned the game. Ooops. This was an issue with live chess beta too.

I like the screen size and responsiveness of the pieces...not bad considering my 512k dsl connection.

there's something wrong with pre-moves too (I use them a lot) they're not fully animated and sometimes it doesn't show a color for the next move to be played, then to your surprise it suddenly does make that pre-move. maybe it's because of the load (there were 142 players when I was playing). And also the timer is just worse than before, it keeps jumping.

Thanks staff for your hard work and listening to us Smile
