Normally you just unclick the tracking box to stop tracking a forum topic.  However, when a topic is locked the tracking box disappears.  Now I appear to be stuck with a dead thread (hey, that rhymes!  Laughing ) in my tracking list.

You would have to send a message to one of the staff. At least the topic isn't going to change, so you won't get any alerts for it (unless it gets unlocked).

Can't you just click "ignore all" on the alert? You shouldn't receive any new alerts... because the thread is locked, right?

Correct, I don't receive alerts for a topic once it's locked (for obvious reasons) but trhe topic "lives forever" on my "Topics I am tracking" section from the "forums" dropdown.  They will stay at the bottom of course, but it would be nice to perform housekeeping every now and then.
