long story short - i've been playing a lot of chess against a player i met on chess.com (he's a good player and kicks my ass). it turns out that he's from iran and i will be in that country about 8 weeks from now. so, we've planned to meet up and play chess.

i'm interested in hearing stories of people you've met on chess.com, but then had the chance to meet in real life.

wow.  I'd be open to such an experience too except I haven't really met too many people I'd want to know in real life.  I ran into a girl on LiveChess that I apparently went to high school with...so that is a bit wild.  Keep us updated on the experience...I'd love to know how it turns out.

Actually, the other way round. I've ran into a few here that I've played otb. But that's not so weird, a few local clubs have groups on here.
