I think it would be interesting to know what percentage of chess.com players fall into certain rating groups.  You know, say by sets of 100points.  I assume there is a bit of a bell curve with players between 1150 and 1250 probably being the highest number whereas players between 1950 and 2050 and between 550 and 650 being far, far less.  Of course, many int he lower range may not be active players out of discouragement(if you are in this range, I don't mean to belittle you, everyone on here had to learn the game at some point too).  Is there already something on the site that does this?  It might make for an interesting blurb from the staff, maybe once a month or updated weekly, or something. 

A blog on this same topic for the different official chess organizations would be interesting.
