There are some players rated around 1000-1200 who try to get in the quick mate on f7 with the queen and the bishop, like this: 1. e4 e5 2. Qf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 ... What I did here was to bring out my knight to f6. But they say that against an early queen attack you should attack her with the minor pieces, but in this case, I can't really do so. And still, the queen and the bishop are really annoying where they are in this position, and I can't really chase them away (with something like d5).

It is said that bringing out a queen too early benefits the other side because of gaining tempo, but I don't know how to nail it. And of course my opponent develops his other pieces, stenghtening his attack on f7 on even somewhere else where I eventually made a weakness while developing. Can you help me with a good line from the position I showed?

Don't worry about gaining tempos in all situations involving the queen, just continue to develop with Nf6.

What if 7. Bc4?

What if 5. d4?

5.d4? Nxd4 is just a free pawn

7.Bc4? Nxb3 wins the queen

I have been stung on this more times than I can count....taking that f7 with the bishop always screws me up.
