How to stay good..

i've noticed that with some players you play good.. and others you dont...

 

what do u think you should do to keep your game sharp with every game you play?

I think sometimes we can be too conscious of the player rather than the game.

If I can shut everything else out and ONLY focus on that particular move I can hold my own with moves against some very high rated players. My problem is I can't shut everything out for long enough, and a lapse in concentration due to rushing, or being distracted is juuuuuuust enough to cause the game to spiral in a downward spin for moi. 

As long as my rating continues to grow, even if at a snail's pace, and that I slowly improve then I am pretty happy. Continuously playing much higher rated players than myself has impeded the growth of my ratings. I am being told this often by the wise and the wiser!

If you only play a few games I suppose you want them all to be super-duper.

I like to play so many games that I understand they can't all be masterpieces. Some are excellent, most are just O.K., and some are rubbish. I don't worry about a rubbish game. There are loads of new games approaching...

its pretty hard to keep a good chain of games. i agree with chess_kebabs...i just cant keep my focus on the games sometimes...
