    Hey guys!

I'm writing a chess manuscript on the purest fundamentals of the game. I am wondering if anyone knows how to insert chess diagrams into a word document.

I would like to insert diagrams after I can set up the pieces on the board. In other words....I don't want to insert an empty chess board.

    Thanks!!!

    Go here:

    http://www.rebel.nl/epd2diag.htm

Download a utility called epd2diag. (Fairly small, and free)

It allows you to set up positions, and export them in a gif format, which you can then insert into your document.

I create image files with Fritz and with a terrific utility I purchased for $25 called Chess Captor.

    With Fritz:

    I can vary the colors.

    With Chess Captor:

Sometimes black and white is better, especially when I need to photocopy pages with diagrams.
