I personally have had no problems with the site staff. I quite enjoy this site, so I will be getting my Premium membership as soon as the Government stimulates my checking account with some dinero, which they say will be soon, so maybe next weekend I'll have a hip new star thing by my name. I'm enough of a chess addict that the forum enthusiats/editors can't keep me from this place. Nods to people like Erik and many others who balance out the few forum hoppers that dispense their own correctness on others.

I'll admit to being a screwball, but it has nothing to do with my cursing.

Making friends and influencing people, Willy?

haha, this stuff is too funny!  I actually sort of agree with wagrro.  But William's reply was still funny.  William, don't you hate it when you reply, then think better of it and delete (or did it get censored?), but someone has already quoted you :).  haha, you guys are killin' me!

If we all lived in the same neighborhood I'd be ready to say "screw it, let's all go out and have a beer." (Or an ice cream, but that's a different topic )

you didn't have to delete your post, i was not offended - i find these comments and counter comments quite interesting, and hey if you don't understand them, can't find anybody to explain them to you or can't think of a sensible response by all means, throw in an insult, it's sure to amuse somebody out there. i recently saw a list of words, differing from actual words by just one letter and which changed the meanings and some of them could be relevant here. Bozone - this is a substance that surrounds some people and prevents any intelligent ideas from penetrating their awareness. Dopeller - an effect which makes thoughts seem far more intelligent when originating from ourselves rather than when directed towards us. last one which probably is self explanatory - Ignoranus.

wagrro

Willy, seems to be removing all signs of his contributions to the site in protest at being ticked off by some people. I for one hope he comes back soon. He makes me laugh.

Good point, sfs.  The way I say it sometimes is that, "I'm sure I'm right, which is not necessarily the same thing as being right."  The older I get, the less often I'm sure I'm right.  If it isn't math or science or the restatement of a rule, I don't  actually think it's possible for me to ensure that I'm right.

I bet part of whether I get warned on use of language is the context, and interpretation by staff on how it makes the reader feel.  The vibe it sends out.  I think the staff just want a community where people feel, "I want to be a part of this.  I want to come back."

Just thinking out loud in the morning.  Have a great day, everyone!
