I was just playing a live standard game and suddenly I felt the bed moving a little. I got suspicious. And then what the??? The whole hotel building I was stying in started shaking violently. An EARTHQUAKE!!! I threw my laptop and rushed downstairs without a T-shirt and holding my loose bermuda shorts. All the other people staying in the hotel rushed down too.

And when I came back to my room after the everything settled down, I had only 1 min 30 sec left. AAAAAHHHH I lost the game in return for my life. And when I told my opponent of the earthquake, he was all mute. I guess he was thinking that I was just bluffing. Ha Ha. I won the next game though :)

joey, dude ... it's a good story, he's not asking for any favors, why the "rude to your opponent" stuff?

I find your reply quite rude, to be honest.

Sunoy, great story ... one of the more creative excuses for losing to your opponent (maybe his English was not very good... or maybe, like a few too many, he takes his chess a bit too seriously!)

Dry humor works well in person, but you might want to check  yourself before throwing it around with strangers from a different culture, genius.

Thank you DalaiLuke. It was really a thrill to run down the hotel floors.

Joeydvivre. You really got me wondering if it was a joke or something else :0     Honestly. I'm glad that it was a joke Laughing
