if chess were solved i would play out of the opening book. 

that said, it would be funny if all the white's advantage was turned on its head by solving chess in favor of black.

I think the 'solved game of chess' suggests that the game is a draw, like checkers.  Games like Connect 4 are unfair, as the first player always wins at that.  I am a perfect player at Connect 4, I only lose as the second player (if my opponent is perfect).  But I dunno if Chess will ever be solved, this will mean that 1 job application has been screwed!
