Hi folks

Just to let friends know that I lost my internet connection and have thus lost loads of games on time, my rating is now only 1780 but I shall keep going and try get my rating back up :D My internet is back up and running for good now so don't worry if you thought i'd dissapeared!

That happened to me too... i have just got back my internet! I have lost about 4 games. Its a real pity though...

I've lost about 30 but for some reason I've only lost 80 rating points at the most?!

There is a ratings floor.

"Yes, after a lot of thought and discussion and some coding, we have now implemented a new system to deal with these types of players who go AWOL. After 5 consecutive timeouts, the rating of the player is frozen and all subsequent timeouts will award the other player a win according to that frozen rating."

Ah right, that's a great idea :D
