Looks like there are only 3 games left
Woaah, thanks Martin!
Seems that I won't lose any game, unless... Well, to be honest, I think I was lost in 3-5 games, but due to set of circumstances I drew or won all of them.
To everyone, after the simul, I will choose 3 favourite games. I will also post all the statistics (result, average rating, openings...).
2 games left! :)
1 game left! :)
To me it was great fun, I was confronted with a much stronger player and a opening I had never played/seen. Thank you for taking all this time to even play lower rated guys like me :)
Last game finished now. Declined a draw and then lost . Thank you MSC for taking the time to play all of these games. I enjoyed the challenge
Final standings. Score: 42 wins, 8 draws and 0 losses
Well, it's the time to announce the result. It was a pleasure to play with all of you! Thanks to all who helped the simul - RetiFan: comments, Martin0: Updates, and so on and so on...
So, I finished my biggest simul so far with the result:
Average opponent's rating: 1529,18Highest rated: MaartenSmit (1955)Lowest rated: mrchess132 (752)
The shortest game: 6 movesThe longest game: 58 movesAverage moves / game: 28,12 moves
In 12 games, it was Sicilian defence on the board, 5/11 it was Najdorf variation.Openings when I drew: 4× Sicilian, 2× Ruy Lopez & French defence
That's it. Later, I will post my favourite 3 games.
OK, here we go. The first game I chose is a draw with the highest rated participant. I sacrificed a lot, but somehow lost in calculations and variations, so a deserved draw for Maarten.
This one I won due to good opening preparation (theory to move 16). I know the line very well, I also introduced ...e4 in these positions.
And that one. I used Silman's advices about Bxh7, postes just a week before the game.
I tried something similar in blitz, didn't work as well...missed my opponents defensive resource.
Yes, deadly Be4! Good try though!
Well done! Very interesting simul & its games!
