What have you found the most effective method to improve your game?

Personally I listen to some rock music during blitz- makes my mind rush.

I drink, mainly.

It doesn't always work, although much of the time it feels like it is working great.  Then again, if I drink enough, it doesn't really matter whether I'm improving or not.
